Car Park Resurfacing in West Midlands – Completed Project

A manufacturing company's car park had deteriorated significantly with extensive pothole damage, failed drainage causing standing water, and worn line markings creating safety concerns. The work needed to be phased to keep the factory operational throughout.

Excavation and removal of failed tarmac areas. Sub-base repair and compaction where the formation had failed. New surface water drainage channels and connection to existing outfall. Two-course tarmac surfacing — base course and wearing course. New line markings for parking bays, pedestrian walkways and fire assembly points. Installation of concrete wheel stops. Minor kerb repairs and verge reinstatement.

The work was phased across three weekends to minimise disruption to the factory. Phase one addressed the worst drainage failures — excavating and relaying drainage channels with new connections to the outfall. Phase two covered the main resurfacing — cutting out failed areas, repairing sub-base and laying new tarmac. Phase three completed the line marking, wheel stops and verge reinstatement.
