Heritage Stonework Restoration in Droitwich Spa – Completed Project

The project involved the refurbishment of Droitwich Town Hall to improve the condition, energy efficiency and usability of the building while respecting its historic fabric. The building forms part of the town’s historic civic architecture and required careful restoration and upgrading to meet modern standards. The original town hall building dates back to the early 19th century and is a Grade II listed structure, meaning any refurbishment work had to protect its architectural and historic significance.

External refurbishment works including repairs to the brickwork, restoration of the façade and improvements to the building envelope. Internal refurbishment works included structural repairs, installation of new insulation, upgraded services, and improvements to the main hall and internal spaces to enhance functionality and comfort.

The project began with careful assessment of the existing structure and removal of deteriorated finishes. External restoration works were undertaken to repair and preserve the original brickwork and architectural features. Internally, insulation upgrades and service installations were completed before refurbishing the main hall and associated spaces, improving both the performance and usability of the building.
